Honoring Leadership: Teresa Chahine Receives the 2025 Janie Menchaca Wilson Leadership Award

NAHN-Michigan is proud to share that our President, Teresa Chahine, RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC, has been nationally recognized with the 2025 Janie Menchaca Wilson Leadership Award by the National Association of Hispanic Nurses.

This prestigious award honors nurse leaders who are making a profound difference in their communities, leading with heart, courage, and a deep commitment to equity and justice in healthcare. Named in memory of Janie Menchaca Wilson, a fierce advocate and trailblazer, the award reflects the spirit of transformational leadership rooted in service and advocacy.

Teresa’s work exemplifies these values through her tireless efforts to mentor diverse nursing students, elevate mental health awareness, and build pathways into the nursing profession for underrepresented communities. Her leadership continues to strengthen our chapter and expand our impact across Michigan.
