Exciting news! The National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) Michigan Chapter has been awarded a grant from the White House Challenge to make a meaningful impact on children's nutritional and mental health in Pontiac. This initiative is part of the Fuel2Flourish program, which aims to address disparities in access to healthy food choices and mental health resources. Through this program, NAHN Michigan will collaborate with Oakland University School of Nursing to promote nursing as a career while educating school-aged children on the importance of healthy eating and mental well-being. This partnership will empower children and foster resilience by introducing them to nursing as a vital and rewarding career path. Together, we are building healthier communities for the future!
